Wind

Design textile et design graphique - 2019

The WIND range of patterns is inspired by the dances and drapes of Loïe Fuller.

The realisation of this range required, at first, a photographic work capturing fabrics with various properties (flexible, rigid, opaque, transparent, light, heavy…) in the wind.

The photographic results provided a graphic resource. The captured images were transformed, cropped, modified … to create dreamlike compositions.

This range was a proposal dedicated to digital printing on Dickson technical textiles, to be applied to the surfaces of large spaces, such as the RBC showroom in Lyon.

DICKSON x RBC: a technical and aesthetic challenge

As part of a call for tutorial projects, Dickson called on the students of the Martinière Diderot in Lyon.

Their aim was to renew the aesthetics of wallpaper and to demonstrate to architects and interior designers the diversity of possibilities for creating patterns dedicated to digital printing. To do this, the project had two sponsors: the Dickson company and the RBC Mobiler showroom in Confluence, the place where the final productions were displayed.
